Our business is about caring, knowledge and service. We are committed to our clients having the best possible recovery care from their surgical procedures. The Post Op Companion Retreat is in the business of providing the best confidential 24 hour care available in the San Francisco bay area.

How we got started: After my own cosmetic surgery, I found that I did not want to go home to heal and be a burden on my loved ones. Quite frankly it can be annoying to have them hovering around not really knowing how to make me more comfortable. I found there really was no good alternative. After discussing this lack of services with friends and associates, I sought out coordinators in the Cosmetic Surgery industry and found out I was right! There is a need for a comfortable safe after surgery recover retreat for people to recuperate after such delicate procedures.

I learned that some individuals (like me) were not interested in returning home immediately after their procedure. Some people don't even want friends and family to know they are going to have surgery. These special individuals wanted a private place that offered exceptional care and confidentiality. My background has been working in quality resorts and private hospitals and I knew this would be the perfect match for this type of service.

FOUNDER

My name is Gwen Mancuso; I am Sole Proprietor and founder of the Post Op Companion Retreat. I have started anew after 6 years of service to the Bay Area.

I have spent more than 20 years as a professional in the healthcare and hospitality industry. I am a Certified Administrator from the State of California in Residential Care for the Elderly, a member of the International Executive Housekeeping Association and a Neighborhood Emergency Response Team member for the San Francisco Fire Department.

I have experience in private duty care, expertise in cosmetic surgery care, orthopedic surgical care, gastric bypass and reconstruction surgical care. I now have cared for over 1,000 patients.

My professional experience has given me the ability to ensure a safe, happy, and rewarding recovery time for all types of surgeries.
